PERIFIT KEGEL EXERCISER

As I mentioned many times before, I was surprised by my postpartum condition a bit. And I don’t mean my visage (I certainly did not expect to look the day after the same way I looked before I was even pregnant), but the amount of pain, length of recovery and the dropped pelvic floor surprised me unpleasantly (you can find the whole article here). Honestly, I wished that I wouldn’t have to consider any of these options. But that didn’t happen, and I had to use them quite often… I’d like to talk mostly about pelvic floor and ways how to strengthen it.

By the way, dropped pelvic floor can be issue also after gynaecological surgeries or in connection with issues caused by incontinence. If you like to be sexually active, it’s worthy to exercise pelvic floor. Your sexual experiences will improve and tightening your pelvic floor muscles can help with impossibility of reaching an orgasm.

You can many different opinions about when to start exercising pelvic floor after a labour. It divides into two groups. One suggests starting as soon as possible. During puerperium is your body set by nature for involution (everything is tightening back to the previous form) so it’s the best opportunity to start with pelvic exercises. The second point of view prefers to leave puerperium for complete regeneration without trying to change it or help it.

I’m going to share my tips which you can try if you feel like it no matter your approach.

You can find plenty of different exercises online such as Kegel exercices which were invented by the American gynaecologist Arnold Kegel in 1948. You can find out the strength of your muscles while being on the toilet (try to stop the flow of your urine, the muscles that helped you to stop it are the ones I am talking about in this article). It’s a great test but surely not a way how to exercise your pelvic floor. But you can find more about it here. Another option that is maybe more effective is to purchase various utensils. The most famous are probably Kegel balls which most of you probably already know or even own. I own multiple Kegel balls (metal, silicone ones), but everyone knows that you cannot stop progress. So, I decided to try the newest aid mainly because I wanted to fasten the whole process and make it more effective.

VAGINAL TRAINER PERIFIT KEGEL EXECISER

You can find the basic information, size, and technical parameters online on website of the seller, so I won’t mention them again. I want to share my own experiences mainly.

The only inconvenience worth mentioning in the beginning is that this exerciser is not suggested to use immediately after the labour. It’s recommended to wait a bit until everything heals which can be a quite long time for the ones who don’t like waiting.

I didn’t find any other inconvenience though. The shape and size are absolutely perfect and the material reminds me of Fun Factory vibrators and you already know how much I like their perfectly smooth silicone…

If you are cautious after the childbirth and you don’t want to use disinfectants only, you can surely use condom too. I used condom during my period (I got my period back quite early since I wasn’t breastfeeding but it’s not regular and sometimes it’s quite long, for example 15 days), so I was pleased that you can use this exerciser even if you got your period.

If you need to make the insertion easier and more pleasant you can use your favourite lube, you don’t need anything specific just make sure that it’s water-based lube (the manufacturer doesn’t recommend using silicone ones). The only thing you need is smartphone where you need to download an app which is available for iOS but also for Android.

This is everything you need to know before the first exercise. The operating system is simple as well as the principle of the game. The whole exercising is consisted of playing a computer game which you control directly through the exerciser which is inserted in your vagina.I’m not a huge fan of computer games and I’ve never played one. Prince of Persia died every time he was supposed to jump over the pole and that’s basically where my gaming skills ended. Even though and maybe this was also the reason that the game that you play while exercising amused me so much (if you play much more sophisticated games you can choose from different designs, but I was pleased with the mountain theme because I love them). It’s not anything complicated, you collect flowers and avoid birds in pretty scenery. I used Perifit every time in the evening (the best position for exercising is while lying on the back, definitely not while standing or sitting because organs put pressure on your pelvic floor.) for 7-10 minutes.

It’s the same with exercising, consistency is the key. You will feel the results pretty quickly with Perifit. But I’m going to be honest with you, the better I felt the less I exercised. Which is a pity because as I already mentioned, the more you exercise, the better sexual experience you have. That’s why I want to go back to collecting flowers, I don’t need to exercise so frequently now but it would be helpful maybe two or three times a week.

I really appreciate the shape which is way mor comfortable than Kegel balls for me. If you like progress, results, graphs, then you will like the fact that all the exercises monitor your progress and achievements. But I see the biggest plus in the possibility of customization. The app adjusts to the condition of your pelvic floor because you can pick intensity before every game. If you are in pain and you are unsure that everything is healed and ready for video games with Perifit, discuss this with your doctor first. I’m not a gynaecologist so even though I enjoy sharing my experiences about sex toys, this isn’t something I am qualified at.
